WSAC award to the SoN SIM Center for equipment upgrades

The Washington Student Achievement Council has awarded $285,000 to the University of Washington School of Nursing toward upgrading our video capture and debriefing system used in nursing simulation. The 2022 Washington State supplemental operating budget provided funding to WSAC for a grant pool dedicated to nursing programs to purchase or upgrade simulation laboratory equipment. This funding is intended to address problems faced by nursing programs at public and private universities having outdated or an insufficient amount of simulation equipment, preventing students from receiving the clinical practice hours they need to earn their nursing credential.

Simulation Center in the news!

In addition to continuing to support student learning both virtually and safely in person, the UW School of Nursing Simulation Center is joining the fight against COVID-19! The Simulation Center has been hosting Vaccination Boot Camps to train UW Health Sciences students to safely administer the COVID-19 vaccine, so they can become part of the vaccinator army!
